9/11 Heroes 5K
New York 9/11 Heroes Run, hosted by the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) in partnership with Five Borough Veterans, as part of the 25 Years Later: A New York City Veterans’ Tribute series.
On the landmark 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we gather to honor and remember the 2,977 lives lost, our brave first responders, and the military service members who stepped forward to serve in the wars that followed. Grounded in 1stLt Travis Manion’s motto "If Not Me, Then Who...", this annual 5K unites runners, ruckers, walkers, and supporters across the five boroughs to fulfill our promise to Never Forget.

Participation Divisions
Whether you’re a competitive athlete, a casual walker, or bringing the family, all ages and fitness levels are welcome:
5K Run / Walk ($44.46): Open to runners and walkers of all levels. Includes: Official 2026 TMF Event T-Shirt & Commemorative Finisher Medal.
GORUCK Rucking Division ($49.76): Partnered with GORUCK, participants carry a weighted rucksack/backpack along the 5K course in honor of military training and sacrifice. Includes: Official 2026 TMF Event T-Shirt, Finisher Medal, & Exclusive 2026 TMF GORUCK Patch.
Volunteer ($0): Support course safety, registration, water stations, and participant encouragement. Includes: Official 2026 Volunteer T-Shirt.
What to Bring
Runners/Walkers: Comfortable running shoes, hydration pack/water bottle, weather-appropriate athletic gear.
Ruckers: Rucksack or backpack loaded with comfortable weight (weight plates, sandbags, or books).
ID: Photo ID for check-in and packet pickup.
