About Event

Where ambitious moms in business turn conversations into connections, community, and momentum.

Join the Made For Mothers DFW Chapter Meetup!

This isn't another networking event.

It's a room full of ambitious moms building businesses who are craving something deeper than exchanging business cards and making awkward small talk. Made for Mothers DFW is a connection-first community where motherhood and entrepreneurship are equally welcome, and where genuine relationships become referrals, collaborations, encouragement, and lifelong friendships.

During our monthly meetup, you'll gather around the table with fellow CEO moms for meaningful conversations, guided discussion, and intentional connection. Whether you're running a thriving business, launching something new, or simply dreaming about what's next, you'll leave feeling seen, supported, and inspired by women who truly understand the balance of building both a business and a family.

Made for Mothers DFW | In Real Life Meetup
Thursday, November 12, 2026
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
The Kindred | Keller, TX

Speaker
Carla Brown will share the deeply personal story of the last two years of her life, a season that pushed her further than she ever expected, physically and emotionally. Along the way, she found herself on a Texas powerlifting platform, in intensive therapeutic work, and finally, in a season of real self-trust. This is a candid story about listening to your gut, surviving what you can't control, and learning that it’s never too late to “grow up” and pay attention to your own needs. Told honestly, with some humor, by a mom, nonprofit founder, and storyteller.

Carla Brown is the founder and CEO of Teleios Approach, a Fort Worth nonprofit that helps kids with dyslexia discover, develop, and share their genius. It's personal; Carla is dyslexic herself, and found her own genius in the fourth grade, when she won a poetry oratory contest.

She's spent three decades in education and nonprofit leadership, from youth programs in Boston and D.C., to leading a $13 million capital campaign at a Fort Worth school, to launching Teleios in 2022, which has supported more than 100 students and their families. She holds a degree in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin and a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado, and trained as a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist.

Outside of work, Carla is a mom of three who once did a solo trip around the world in her 20s, visiting 11 countries from Paris to Pakistan to India. She's also a first-place powerlifting competitor.
