About Event

โ€‹You come across a secret speakeasy underneath your local Subway stop. You enter into a musty, brick-walled bar with dim neon lighting, worn leather couches, and two-dollar Bud. But wait, you slowly make out the shape of Monstera plants, Moroccan stained-glass lighting, and millennials aboundโ€ฆย welcome to The Commons.

โ€‹For one night only, The Commons is turning into your local grungy dive bar, but with a twist: a 4-course Indian take on traditional dive bar finger foods and cocktails.ย ย

โ€‹Ticket fee: $20-30 sliding scale

Spots are capped at 30; venmo @justsomefolks to secure yours.

Note: This is not a seated dinner - think cocktail party small bites. Drinks can be purchased al la carte.

โ€‹One year after launching York St Coffee, Anand Upender is joining forces with friend and experience designer Netta Wang to create just some folks, a series of experimental dinner pop-ups around the city with an edge for whimsy and community.
