Friends of Ed - Celebrating the Industry's favorite Problem-Solver

Friends of Ed - Join us for an evening to celebrate the life and legacy of Ed Chandler whose visionary leadership and expertise shaped the physical security industry for over five decades.

About This Gathering

Since the 70s Ed had this uncanny ability to find solutions to challenging problems. Whether you were a client struggling with a business issue that needed security expertise, a manufacturer trying to improve products or establish industry standards or an integrator facing impossible deadlines - Ed somehow always knew exactly what to do. His deep knowledge of security and systems combined with his understanding of people was remarkable and he applied all that to solve real-world problems.

Lorna has politely agreed to come to New Orleans for this get-together. Having Lorna there along with recognition of their daughters Crissy and Hana who now continue Ed's work at Security By Design will make this evening even more meaningful.

What to Expect

A casual night where we can share our favorite Ed story, raise a glass to his memory and connect with others whose lives were made better by Ed's influence. I'll cover the first round of drinks!

Please check the location details and feel free to share the event with friends and colleagues.

Anyone who worked with Ed remembers his legendary attention to detail - how he worked hard on security standards for the business and his famous "door objects" that changed how we approach access control. He could spot a flawed security design from a mile away and had this remarkable talent for explaining how to fix it without making you feel inadequate.

Lets get together to remember the legend.. the world needs more Ed.
