About Event

We live in a time where many of the stories that once gave us a sense of trust, direction, and meaning are beginning to fracture. Less and less of us are bought into ‘the American Dream’ or the even believe that a bright future awaits us. It creates a population open to anger and misguidance.

The antidote is a new story that presents a compelling vision of what the future could be. Ideally this story is told by thoughtful, persuasive and credible leaders with the interests of the greater whole in mind. Can they share a vision of hope and change towards a more viable future to believe in? And what is the path to that future?

This talk explores the hidden role storytelling plays in human life—not just in communication, but in how we survive, connect, and understand who we are. We’ll examine how the stories we inherit shape our identities and how leaders can use storytelling to create trust, inspire change, and offer a vision of what’s possible.

Most importantly, we’ll also explore a deeper question:

What is the new story we need to tell now?

Attendees will leave with a new understanding of storytelling as a leadership tool, and also an idea of the new story they can personally start sharing in their own world.

About the Speaker

Nathan Young is the founder of StoryCulture Consulting, where he helps mission-driven leaders, teams, and entrepreneurs develop clarity, confidence, and influence through storytelling and narrative strategy.
