About Event

Ever been told your fatigue is “probably just stress”?

Or that your painful periods are nothing to worry about?

If navigating your health has felt anything but straightforward, you’re not alone.

Join us for an intimate discussion co-hosted by Nexus, a women's health tech startup focused on advancing women’s health through education and advocacy, as we reimagine what it means to advocate for ourselves in a healthcare system that hasn’t always made us feel heard.

You’ll hear personal stories from our speakers and have the chance to share your own experiences in small breakout groups. You’ll also be the first to gain access to Nexus Self-Advocacy Toolkit—a free, practical resource designed to help you prepare for appointments, ask the right questions, and walk away feeling like your concerns have been taken seriously.

This event is free for users for Nexus free app - you can download the app from the Apple UK app store here

Event Q+A
Q: How does the panel work?
A: Speakers will share their personal and professional story on their health journey, the misdiagnosis, the medical gaslighting, the looking for answers and everything in between that they went through and how it led them to where they are now.

Q: How does the group workshop work?
A: Once you have booked a ticket you'll be sent a short survey to best understand your health story, experiences and goals in terms of your health and this event. From these answers I'll pregroup people together and allocate the panelist that is best suited to your group's goals. I'll make the group introductions ahead of time so you can pre-connect!

Q: What will you be doing in the group workshop?
A: This is your chance to share your story, ask questions of your fellow group members and panel facilitators and engage with the advocacy packs.

Specifically we will be workshopping what do you want the future of women's health / health care to look like? Then the panelist will bring back each group's findings to share at the end.

Q: Do I have to engage in the workshop?
A: Nope, you are welcome to just listen.

Q: Timings?
A: You can arrive as late as 5.30pm. Later is fine but please note we will have already started.
