Design.md

​Design.md is a one-day Shopify design event focused on the patterns emerging at the intersection of design and agentic AI. For years we've designed interfaces that respond to people's actions. Today we're designing systems that act for them, making decisions on their behalf, operating in the gaps between attention. 

Our old design patterns don't quite fit anymore. State, handoffs, reversibility, governance all sit at the core of our problem. How do we build systems that feel trustworthy when users can't see each step? How do we create moments of legibility in processes that move faster than we do?

design.md is a place to share, discuss and explore design in this new space we live in.
