Sacramento Food Bank Volunteer Opportunity

​Hello AORN Members,

​We are excited to offer an opportunity to give back to our community by volunteering at the Sacramento Food Bank. Volunteers play a vital role in the fight against hunger by helping inspect, sort, repackage, and distribute food to individuals and families in need throughout our region.

​We have reserved two volunteer sessions and would love to have AORN members join us:

​• Thursday, July 23, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

​• CANCELLED (Thursday, July 30, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

​This is a great opportunity to support our local community, connect with fellow perioperative nurses, and make a meaningful impact. Family and friends are welcome if space permits.

​Volunteer Requirements

• ​Volunteers must be at least 10 years old to participate.

  • ​Volunteers aged 10 – 15 require an adult chaperone.

  • ​Volunteers aged 16 – 17 must receive parental permission. Click here to view the required waiver.

• ​Individuals who are currently receiving services from SFBFS or have received services in the past 12 months are not eligible to volunteer. Volunteers are not eligible to receive goods or services from SFBFS.

• ​Volunteers MUST wear closed toed shoes that fully enclose your entire foot to volunteer. Tennis shoes, boots, or sneakers are ideal.
