Frequently Asked Questions
What is After Hours, Slow House?
After Hours, Slow House is a community initiative exploring slowness, presence, and human connection. We create spaces where strangers can slow down, spend time with themselves, and connect with others, without expectations or agendas. What is Tangled?
Tangled is a social app that lets you float an idea — a hike, a concert, a random Tuesday plan — and find people who actually want to do it with you. It's a simple way to build real, in-person connections and friendships as an adult.
Do I need to arrive at a specific time?
Not at all. Come and go whenever you’d like. Stay for an hour or spend the whole night with us.Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Around 70% of our past attendees come by themselves. Whether you’re arriving solo or with friends, we’ve intentionally designed the space to feel welcoming.I don’t drink or party. Is this for me?
Yes. While the evening becomes more social, this isn’t a club or party. The focus is on conversation, presence, and simply spending time together. Is this a dating or networking event?
No. While meaningful connections naturally happen, that’s never the expectation. We’re simply creating a space where people can slow down and connect as fellow human beings. What should I bring?
Just yourself. If you’d like, you’re welcome to bring a book, journal, sketchbook, knitting project, board game, laptop, headphones, camera, or anything else that helps you feel at home.Do I need to join the activities?
