Vantage Point - REH 3000 - Reynolds Hall - Morgantown - WV

​Vantage Ventures invites you to Vantage Point, a 3 part recurring event on the 2nd Thursday of September, October, and November in 2026.

​The first event takes place on Thursday, September 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the Ideation Hub at Reynolds Hall in Morgantown! This is the first of three, with additional events in October and November.

​Some of the startups from Cohort 5 of the 13-week Vantage Ventures accelerator will each present for 10 to 15 minutes, followed by 5-10 minutes of questions from the audience. Each founder will cover three things:

• ​A detailed walkthrough of the lean canvas for their business, including which blocks remain untested

• ​The specific assumptions they are currently making about each untested block, and how they intend to test them to get more precise about product market fit

• ​How they would allocate $10,000 to run the next round of tests

​Teams that make a compelling case receive a $10,000 investment in the form of a simple agreement for future equity (SAFE), which for most of these founders represents the first outside capital they have raised. The investment is not guaranteed. Teams that are not yet ready will present at the October or November event instead, which is why this series runs monthly rather than as a single competition. Vantage Ventures takes the position that early-stage founders learn more from testing their own assumptions against real prospects than from being handed answers. Founders are asked to name what they do not yet know as clearly as what they have already proven.
