RIP DSIT, what now?
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology will be scrapped by Andy Burnham's government. The news has shocked industry and raised a load of questions about the importance of AI and tech under the new prime minister.
This panel includes experts from industry, civil society and politics to talk through the move and what comes next. We'll be joined by:
-Dom Hallas, executive director at the Startup Coalition
-Maeve Walsh, director of the Online Safety Act Network
-Tom Skinner, former special adviser at DSIT
The event last 45 minutes, split between a 30-minute panel and 15 minutes of audience questions.
