About Event

Join the Graduate Women in Business Club for a morning exploring the intersection of entrepreneurship and luxury fashion.

Hosted by SCU alumna Dr. Liz Pham, this event brings together research, practice, and lived experience. The session will feature a panel discussion on topics such as entrepreneurship, navigating structural barriers, and building sustainable businesses, followed by an exclusive tour of Dr. Pham’s studio and production space, and a networking session with fellow students and alumni.

Drawing from her doctoral research, Dr. Pham will share insights from a qualitative multi-case study of women-of-color entrepreneurs in California. Her work highlights how founders navigate systemic challenges, access resources, and build resilient businesses while balancing identity, family, and leadership.

The experience extends beyond discussion into application. Attendees will engage directly with MUOI’s Italian leather products and gain a behind-the-scenes view of how a luxury brand moves from concept to finished product.

Open to all SCU students and alumni.
