In Pieces: What Do We Hide to Be Liked?
Bring a shadow. Leave a piece.
What do you keep out of the light, and why? Where did it come from? Who would you be if you stopped hiding it, or if you stopped fighting it?
In Pieces is an evening for asking those questions out loud, with other people, over coffee. We’ll move through guided prompts, small-group conversation, and some quiet time to think on your own. Then you’ll name a shadow you’re carrying and write it, anonymously, on a translucent puzzle piece.
Each piece joins everyone else’s to build a human figure that grows over time. Lit from behind, the pieces cast a shadow, so the shadow ends up showing us the person.
There’s nothing to fix and no right answers. Come for the conversation, stay for the coffee, and write as much or as little as you like. Your piece is anonymous, and the only thing you’re asked to bring is curiosity.
Space is limited to 25. RSVP to save your spot.
