About Event

Kick off Rested Rebel Summer Camp with comedian, actor, writer, and bestselling author Aida Rodriguez for an honest conversation about laughter, resilience, and why joy may be one of the most overlooked forms of recovery.

Why this conversation

We all know laughter feels good.

What we don't talk about enough is what it makes possible.

When we're exhausted, we lose perspective. We become more reactive, more serious, and more likely to carry the weight of leadership alone. Sometimes the most restorative thing we can do isn't another productivity hack—it's laugh.

That's why I wanted comedian, actor, and writer Aida Rodriguez to kick off Rested Rebel Summer Camp.

Beyond her incredible career, Aida is someone I've had the privilege of calling a friend. She's built a life by finding humor in places most of us overlook, and she's taught me that laughter isn't an escape from hard things—it can be one of the ways we move through them.

Together we'll explore one simple question:

What's the craziest thing you've done because you were tired?

Meet the Camp Counselor

Aida Rodriguez is a comedian, actor, writer, and bestselling author whose fearless storytelling has made audiences laugh while challenging the way they think about life, identity, family, and resilience.

Whether she's performing on stage, appearing on screen, or sharing stories from her own life, Aida has a remarkable ability to help people laugh at the very things they thought they had to carry alone.

That's exactly why she's our first Camp Counselor.

What we'll explore

  • Why laughter changes the way we experience stress

  • The surprising connection between exhaustion and the decisions we make

  • Finding joy without waiting for life to slow down

  • What comedy teaches us about resilience

  • Why leadership doesn't have to feel so lonely

What to bring

Just yourself.

No homework. No preparation. Just come ready to laugh, reflect, and spend an hour around the campfire with us.

Who this is for

Senior leaders, executives, founders, and high-achieving professionals who have been carrying more than most people realize—and could use a reminder that laughter isn't a distraction from leadership. Sometimes it's part of what helps us keep leading.
