Institute for Sound Public Policy H-1B and OPT Data Workshop
The Institute for Sound Public Policy is hosting an interactive data workshop on Optional Practical Training (OPT) and H-1B visas, hosted by experts who believe work visas and work permits are negatively impacting American citizens’ job prospects. The event is tailored for immigration staffers on the Hill, along with staffers interested in amplifying this topic. Attending means you’ll receive state-level H-1B and OPT data, which the Institute will walk through and provide context (historical and legal) and policy solutions. This will enable staffers to view these programs as a local backyard issue that the government needs to address. The event will include short, structured presentations to engage attendees and time to work hands-on with data and ask individual questions during small group breakouts. Please bring your laptops. Pastries and coffee included.
