About Event

Open to everyone, no membership needed.

Finding a problem you care about is rarely the hard part. Working out what you could bring to it is.

This evening is for anyone who feels the urge to do more good with their talents but doesn’t know where to start. Perhaps the thought of doing something more meaningful has crossed your mind more than once. You may have a problem you care about, but no sense yet of where you fit in. Or you may be wondering how to put what you’ve learned over the years to use beyond your everyday work.

You don’t need to be a member, have joined a Circle, or know what you want to work on. Curiosity is enough, and these questions are best explored together with others who are asking themselves the same thing.

The School for Moral Ambition (SMA) was founded by Rutger Bregman, author of Moral Ambition, to help people put their talents to work on the world’s biggest problems. It is now a community of more than 25,000 people in over 150 countries. Join us in Antwerp to discover what the School is building in Belgium, how its Circles help people move from intention to action, and where your own experience could make a difference.

What to expect?

The School for Moral Ambition
Vincent De Waele, Global Community Builder, introduces the School and the vision he hopes to build in Belgium.

How Circles turn intention into action
A Circle is a free, peer-led group of 6–8 people who meet eight times over about 16 weeks. Find out how Circles help people choose a problem to focus on, work out where their experience could be useful, and decide what to do next.

What changes when you join a Circle?
Hear from a Circle participant about what the experience helped them clarify and what they have done differently since.

Explore what you could bring
Which social or environmental problems matter to you? Where could your experience and skills be useful? Take time to reflect on these questions, then explore them in small-group conversations.

Choose a next step
Leave with a clearer sense of what you might contribute and one practical step you could take next, along with ways to stay involved.

You don’t need to arrive with a problem in mind or a ready-made plan. You can start with a question, an interest, or simply the feeling that you would like to put your experience to use in a different way.

Doors open at 19:30
Programme: 20:00–22:00
Language: English. Small-group conversations can also take place in Dutch
Cost: Free
