​In today’s ever-connected world, having access to the internet is the key to staying informed and unlocking countless possibilities, such as:

• ​Remote education and jobs

• ​Health and wellbeing

• ​Social connection and belonging

• ​Civic engagement

• ​Creative expression

​While a sufficient internet connection is a critical first step, it’s equally important to have a full-screen device to get online and the skills needed to use technology safely.

To ensure its residents have full access to digital opportunities, Jackson County is developing a Broadband and Digital Equity Strategic Plan. You’re invited to provide your feedback on the ideas proposed to be included. We welcome input from staff at nonprofit organizations, libraries, hospitals and health centers, K-12 and higher education institutions, local governments and others whose work intersects with this issue. We also encourage people who struggle with using or accessing technology in their everyday life to participate in this event to offer their valuable insights.
