FOCUS is an in-person dating event curated for those seeking real connection. We believe true compatibility starts with values and personality. That’s why our questionnaire is designed to cut through the noise and ask the questions that actually matter. We work hard to take out the guesswork so you can focus on feeling the chemistry.
This event caters to individuals ages 21–35 who are actively seeking serious, committed, long-term relationships in a monogamous, hetero context.
Attendees will be matched using three age ranges: 21–26, 27–31, and 32–35. The age range preference question on our questionnaire is [select all that apply]. Participants can choose multiple ranges to reflect their comfort zone, which helps us match thoughtfully and offer flexibility where you want it.
We recognize that compatibility depends on many factors beyond age, so we may occasionally facilitate connections slightly outside your selected range (for example, when your age falls near a range boundary or when we identify a strong potential match).
Our Story 💛
We’re a small team of Asian American women who grew up watching our friends and family navigate love, career, and identity in a world that doesn’t always understand our cultural experiences. We saw how many people in our generation feel burnt out from dating apps and disconnected from real community spaces after college. For a lot of us, meeting new people organically after college can be challenging, especially when life gets busy and dating apps start feeling like a second job. We built FOCUS to be the change we wished existed: a safe space that brings together people who value intention, cultural nuance, and meaningful connection.
Ticketing & Application Process
All tickets are sold on an application basis. To apply, click the “Request to Join” button in the ticket menu. You’ll be prompted to complete a short questionnaire.
Submitting a questionnaire does not guarantee approval to purchase a ticket. Our goal is to curate a meaningful, high-quality experience that feels worthwhile for every approved attendee.
Approval will only be granted if suitable matches are available based on your stated preferences. You will NOT be charged until your registration is approved.
Applications are reviewed within 48 hours, and applicants will be notified by email once a decision has been made. Applications close on November 13 at 11:59 PM PST. Submissions received after the deadline will be automatically declined.

Arrival & Check-In
Please arrive early to allow time for check-in at the host stand. Doors close promptly at 1:30 PM. Be prepared to present your Luma ticket and a valid government-issued ID at the door. The name on your ID must match the name used during registration. Late arrivals will not be admitted, and no refunds will be issued.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions, Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, and Liability Waiver. To ensure a respectful, enjoyable, and safe environment for all attendees, we reserve the right to remove or ban any participant who breaches these rules.
All event ticket purchases are final. Refunds and cancellations are not permitted.
Code of conduct:
Respect Others: Treat all attendees, staff, and venue personnel with respect and courtesy. Discriminatory, harassing, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
Consent is Key: Always seek and respect personal boundaries. Do not touch anyone without their explicit consent.
Be Mindful of Language: Use polite and respectful language at all times. Avoid offensive jokes, derogatory remarks, or any form of verbal abuse.
No Intimidation: Avoid aggressive or confrontational behavior, including unwanted persistent attention or pressure.
Privacy Matters: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information, conversations, or photos of attendees without permission.
Dress Code: Dress appropriately for a social event. Avoid attire that is offensive or unsuitable for a public setting.
No Recording: Do not record, photograph, or film other attendees without their explicit consent.
Follow Venue Rules: Adhere to the venue’s rules and regulations. Respect the space, property, and staff.
Report Issues: If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, notify event staff immediately. We are here to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
Privacy policy:
By attending this event, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of being photographed or recorded. Photos and videos may be used by FOCUS for marketing or promotional purposes, both online and offline.
All personal information collected through your application will be used solely for the purpose of screening and matching attendees. Once matching is complete and the event concludes, all submitted data will be permanently deleted. We do not sell, share, or retain any personal information beyond this event. We value your privacy and handle all data responsibly and confidentially.
Liability waiver:
Participation in this event is voluntary and involves social interaction in a public space. Activities are designed to be inclusive and respectful. By attending, participants acknowledge and assume all inherent risks and release FOCUS, its organizers, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability for injury, illness, or damages arising from participation.
