FOCUS is an invite-only, in-person dating event curated for people who are serious about connection but done bowing to the Dating App Overlords. We believe true compatibility starts with values and personality, not a 0.5-second glance at a bathroom selfie. That’s why our questionnaire is designed to cut through the noise and ask the questions that actually matter.
Other events brag about “smart matching” and personality algorithms. At FOCUS, we hand-pair people the old-fashioned way--like a team of underpaid, over-caffeinated luddites--because we believe AI won’t get you laid. Just laid off.
We work hard to take out the guesswork so you can focus on feeling the chemistry. As 👏 you 👏 should. 👏
This event caters to individuals ages 21–35 who are actively seeking serious, committed, long-term relationships in a monogamous, hetero context. (Other dating styles will be featured in future curated events.) Attendees will be matched within three age ranges: 21–26, 27–31, and 32–35.
We recognize that compatibility depends on many factors beyond age, so we may occasionally facilitate connections slightly outside your selected range (for example, when your age falls near a range boundary or when we identify a strong potential match)

Ticketing & Application Process
All tickets are sold on an application basis. To apply, click the “Request to Join” button in the ticket menu. You’ll be prompted to complete a short questionnaire.
Submitting a questionnaire does not guarantee approval to purchase a ticket. Our goal is to curate a meaningful, high-quality experience that feels worthwhile for every approved attendee.
Approval will only be granted if suitable matches are available based on your stated preferences. You will NOT be charged until your registration is approved.
Applications are reviewed within 48 hours, and applicants will be notified by email once a decision has been made. Applications close on November 11 at 11:59 PM PST. Submissions received after the deadline will be automatically declined.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
Arrival & Check-In
Please arrive early to allow time for check-in at the host stand. Doors close promptly at 1:30 PM. Be prepared to present your Luma ticket and a valid government-issued ID at the door. The name on your ID must match the name used during registration. Late arrivals will not be admitted, and no refunds will be issued.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions, Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, and Liability Waiver. To ensure a respectful, enjoyable, and safe environment for all attendees, we reserve the right to remove or ban any participant who breaches these rules.
All event ticket purchases are final. Refunds and cancellations are not permitted.
Code of conduct:
Respect Others: Treat all attendees, staff, and venue personnel with respect and courtesy. Discriminatory, harassing, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
Consent is Key: Always seek and respect personal boundaries. Do not touch anyone without their explicit consent.
Be Mindful of Language: Use polite and respectful language at all times. Avoid offensive jokes, derogatory remarks, or any form of verbal abuse.
No Intimidation: Avoid aggressive or confrontational behavior, including unwanted persistent attention or pressure.
Privacy Matters: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information, conversations, or photos of attendees without permission.
Dress Code: Dress appropriately for a social event. Avoid attire that is offensive or unsuitable for a public setting.
No Recording: Do not record, photograph, or film other attendees without their explicit consent.
Follow Venue Rules: Adhere to the venue’s rules and regulations. Respect the space, property, and staff.
Report Issues: If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, notify event staff immediately. We are here to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
Privacy policy:
By attending this event, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of being photographed or recorded. Photos and videos may be used by FOCUS for future marketing or promotional purposes, both online and offline.
All personal information collected through your application will be used solely for the purpose of screening and matching attendees. Once matching is complete and the event concludes, all submitted data will be permanently deleted. We do not sell, share, or retain any personal information beyond this event. We value your privacy and handle all data responsibly and confidentially.
Liability waiver:
Participation in this event is voluntary and involves social interaction in a public space. Activities are designed to be inclusive and respectful. By attending, participants acknowledge and assume all inherent risks and release FOCUS, its organizers, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability for injury, illness, or damages arising from participation.
