Preikestolen Hike — Agrifoodtech Norway x Nordic Edge
You are invited to join Nordic Edge and Agrifoodtech Norway for this year's Preikestolen hike — a walk that sets the tone for Nordic Edge Expo 2025: Hope in Action.
The hike offers space for unhurried conversation, new connections, and a shared experience in one of Norway's most remarkable landscapes — before the intensity of the Expo programme begins.
This year's route includes a pit-stop at GrindHeim, Stålverket (Jørpeland) — Norway's first prototype micro-house in prefabricated hemp-lime modules. A short walk & talk with light refreshments: a concrete example of regenerative thinking in practice.
PROGRAM
10.50 - Meet at Strandkaien car park, next to Fisketorget
11.00 - Departure by private cars
11.45 - Pit-stop: GrindHeim @ Stålverket, Jørpeland
12.15 - Departure to Preikestolen
12.30 - Start hike
~14:30 - At the top — lunch and views
~15:30 - Begin descent
~16:45 - Back at car park
~17:30 - Arrival Stavanger city centre
19.00 - Meet-up at Blyge Harry
WHAT TO BRING
Small backpack with water and packed lunch/snacks
Sturdy footwear with good grip — hiking boots strongly recommended
Windproof jacket
Warm mid-layer (sweater or fleece)
Hat and gloves
Conditions at the top can differ significantly from Stavanger. Dress in layers.
