Khadijah Masjid Counselling Program 🕌 Launch Event! Islam, Mental Health, and Resilience in Today's World
🕌 Launch Event: Khadijah Masjid Counselling Program - Featuring a Community Workshop on Islam, Mental Health, and Resilience in Today's World
Delivered by Brother Antar Teleba, Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
Join us for the launch of the Khadijah Masjid Counselling Program, powered by Ruh Care, a Muslim mental health platform offering Islamically aligned, culturally responsive, and accessible care through licensed Muslim therapists.
This new initiative is dedicated to making compassionate mental health support more accessible to the Montreal Muslim community through secure online counselling. Whether you're seeking support as an individual, couple, family, or youth, the program provides a trusted space to access professional care that is rooted in both clinical excellence and an understanding of Islamic values.
During the evening, you'll learn more about the vision behind the counselling program, the services available, and how to access care. As we launch this new initiative, we'll also begin a journey of ongoing community education with a special workshop on Islam, Mental Health, and Resilience in Today's World. This inaugural session marks the first of many workshops and events designed to promote mental health, wellbeing, and resilience within our community.
🕊️ Workshop Discussion: Islam, Mental Health, and Resilience in Today's World
Mental health is an important part of our overall wellbeing, yet it is often misunderstood or difficult to talk about within our communities. Join us for an evening of reflection and learning as we explore what Islam teaches about mental health and emotional wellbeing, challenge common stigmas, and encourage open conversations about seeking support. Together, we'll reflect on how faith can strengthen resilience during life's challenges, including the emotional impact of Islamophobia, discrimination, and other forms of adversity. We'll also explore how individuals, families, and community leaders can help reduce stigma, promote mental wellbeing, and foster more compassionate and resilient communities.
