Climate Kitchen: Operating Outside the Safe Zone
29. April 2026 - hosted by Bees & Bears x PIK Potsdam
An evening for investors, entrepreneurs, policy- and decision-makers working at the intersection of climate science and capital.
Why it exists
Six of nine planetary boundaries have already been crossed. That's the world your decisions are already operating inside. Climate Kitchen is where we explore what to build within it.
What to expect
A focused briefing from PIK scientists on where Earth's systems stand. An intimate fireside. Then the floor is yours. ~50 people. Some drinks. Kick-off 6:30 PM sharp.
The host
Bees & Bears is a Berlin-based climate fintech start-up that helps scale investments into CO2-saving technologies. We're hosting this because the translation between planetary science and real-world decisions needs a room.
The science
Dr. Levke Caesar leads the Planetary Boundary Science Lab at PIK. Dr. Kasra Rafiezadeh Shahi applies AI to that science. They are part of the team behind the Planetary Health Check 2025 - the most comprehensive scientific assessment of Earth's current state. Bruce Phillips translates that science for the people who have to act on it.
The room
29 people already registered - among them leaders from the World Food Programme, Vattenfall, BMW Foundation, Climate Analytics and others. 11 seats are reserved for individual invitations. 10 remain open.
The question we'll build toward
What becomes possible when the scientists tracking the boundaries and the people with the capital to act are finally in the same room?
If this is your room, claim your place!
