Patents 101

​Patterson is Nashville’s most prestigious intellectual property law group and this workshop gives founders a practical introduction to the patent process. Patent attorneys Gary Montle and Seth Ogden of Patterson PA will cover the basics of what can be patented, how the application process works, and common mistakes to avoid before going public with an idea. Gary brings more than twenty years of experience, including a background as a field service engineer, and advises clients on patent strategy in the U.S. and abroad. No prior legal or patent background is needed.  Lunch will be provided.
