From World Models to Real-World AI｜日本から拓くAIの新時代
Symposium with Jürgen Schmidhuber
人工知能の次の時代は、デジタルの枠を超え、物理世界そのものへと広がっていきます。
その一つの鍵になるのが、世界モデル（World Models）という考え方です。機械が自分のなかに世界のモデルを持ち、ある行動が物理世界にどのような結果をもたらすかを、実際に行動する前にシミュレートする。1990年にこの構想を示したのが、現代AIの父として知られるユルゲン・シュミットフーバー博士でした。
このたび Sakana AI は、シュミットフーバー博士をChief Scientific Advisorに迎えました。本シンポジウムでは博士をお招きし、世界モデルから実世界で動くAIへ、その先に何があるのかを基調講演として語っていただきます。
あわせて、当社の RSI Lab から、基盤モデルの開発、The AI Scientist、世界モデルに取り組むメンバーが話題提供を行います。
AI研究の最前線に関心のあるみなさまのご来場をお待ちしています。
The next era of artificial intelligence reaches beyond digital interfaces and into the physical world itself.
One key to that shift is the idea of world models: a machine that holds a model of its world and can simulate the consequences of an action before taking it. Jürgen Schmidhuber, widely known as a father of modern AI, proposed this in 1990.
Schmidhuber has now joined Sakana AI as Chief Scientific Advisor. At this symposium, he will deliver a keynote on where the path from world models to real-world AI leads next.
Members of our RSI Lab will also present their work on foundation model development, The AI Scientist, and world models, the groundwork for AI systems that conduct their own research and discovery, rewrite their own code, and interact with the physical world.

講演は英語で行われ、同時通訳はありません。一部の講演は日本語で行われる場合があります。 Talks will be given in English. Simultaneous interpretation will not be provided. Some talks may be given in Japanese. All slides will be in English.
