On April 1st, the ACLU is going to the Supreme Court to defend birthright citizenship.
President Trump is not above the Constitution.
Yet from his first day in office, he's targeted birthright citizenship – a fundamental right from America's founding, enshrined in the 14th Amendment and federal law – fueling months of fear and uncertainty for families across the country. This is part of a broader effort to redefine who belongs in our country. The Trump administration is deporting families, detaining our loved ones, and now targeting babies to further this agenda.
