We are continuing our event series under the "2026: The Year of the Bicycle in Timișoara" program with a ride for all generations: Families on Bikes, on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Since the passion for cycling starts at a young age, we invite you to a relaxed, multigenerational ride. It doesn’t matter if you have a cargo bike, a child seat, a trailer, or if your little one has already moved up to their first "serious" bike. What matters is that we ride together, stay visible, and enjoy movement and nature.
Let’s get to know each other, build friendships between families, and grow our cycling community!
📍 Start: Mimosa Café, at the Bega river bike path (Splaiul Tudor Vladimirescu 25A)
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM
🏁 Finish: L`iziera Park (Bistra Forest, Ghiroda)
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM
The 13 km route along the Bega river bike path toward Ghiroda is designed to be friendly for little legs and safe for everyone. No rush, no stress, just good vibes.
To reward the little ones for their effort, our partners have prepared some treats: Mimosa will offer kids fresh drinks for a road-trip energy boost, and L’iziera Park awaits them with a well-deserved snack after the ride.
Mandatory: Helmets for the little ones and please ensure all bikes are in good technical condition.
We recommend: Bringing water, snacks, and wearing comfortable clothing.
