The Last Acres of the Internet - Opening Night at NEORT++

​インターネットの、いちばん遠い土地で集まる夜。

​9月20日から26日まで、NEORT++でエキソニモ『The Last Acres of the Internet』を開催します。その初日の夜に、ゆるく集まる会をひらきます。

​この展示で売られているのは、63文字を使い切った、誰も覚えられないようなドメインです。ネットのいちばん奥にある、誰も来ない辺境の土地。その区画を、航空写真つきで、不動産屋のように売ります。NEORTはそのエージェント（不動産屋）として店を構えます。

​会場では、区画を大きなスクリーンで「内見」できます。歩いて、飛んで、買うかどうか決める。会期中はサイレントオークション（3区画・スタート$24）を実施していて、初日の夜からその場で入札できます。

​かつてURLを一文字ずつ打ち込んで、どこに着くかわからないまま移動していた、あのインターネットの手触り。難しい話は抜きで、飲みながらそれを思い出す時間にしたいと思っています。誰でも歓迎です。ふらっと来てください。

​A night out on the furthest edge of the internet.

​From September 20–26, NEORT++ presents The Last Acres of the Internet by exonemo. We're opening it with a casual gathering on the first night — drinks, friends, no agenda.

​What the project sells is land: 63-character domains, unmemorable and unreadable. Every address online is one click away, yet nobody would ever type these. They are the internet's last frontier, measured not in distance, but in reluctance. Each plot comes with aerial photography and a deed, sold the way a realtor sells a lot. NEORT joins as one of the project's agents.

​At the gallery, you can tour the plots on screen, walk them, fly over them, decide whether you want one. A silent auction runs through the exhibition (3 plots, starting at $24), and bidding is open from opening night.

​Remember typing a URL character by character, not knowing where you'd land? That's the feeling we're after. Come by, have a drink, and stay a while.
