Tending to Your Fire: A Day Retreat at Henry Horton State Park
Join us November 12 for a retreat at Henry Horton State Park. This retreat will be guided by Abby Hyman with the opportunity for blanket making, a guided hike, and time around the fire to warm your spirit as weather turns cool.
What to Expect:
Opportunities for meditation, mindfulness, and reflection
Peer support loosely structed by time in Circle
Invitational leisurely guided hike
Opportunity to create a blanket to take home with you
Time by the fire with s’mores
How to Prepare:
Wear whatever you find most comfortable, being mindful that time may be spent outdoors. The weather may be chilly. Please wear boots or sneakers if you choose to hike.
Bring a book, journal, headphones, puzzle, craft project, or anything else you might like to enjoy during “me time.”
Clear your calendar. Set an out of office email. Notify those who rely on you that you are retreating and will not be available.
Know that everything is invitational and you are encouraged to engage with the retreat activities in whatever way feels most supportive to you. Take a moment prior to the retreat to assess what you may need to have a restful day.
This retreat is hosted and funded by The Healing Trust as part of the Healing for the Healer program. To be eligible to attend, you must work at a nonprofit in Middle Tennessee.
