About Event

Join us for a discussion on Onchain Finance for Africa: Unlocking Trade and Investment.

Africa's cross-border trade and investment ecosystem is at an inflection point. Stablecoin adoption is now one of the fastest-growing globally, and regulators from Lagos to Cape Town are catching up with blockchain innovation. Yet cross-border payments across the continent remain expensive, slow, and capital-intensive — holding back the trade and investment flows that could reshape African economies.

During UNGA week, join Zynta (stablecoin payment infrastructure), Liquid Credit (capital efficient stablecoin credit infrastructure for global B2B payments and trade), Africa Fintech Summit, African Virtual Assets Forum (AVAF) and The Solana Foundation for an evening of conversation and connection with the leaders building Africa's onchain financial future. Our panels bring together FinTech operators, bank executives, regulators, institutional capital, and stablecoin infrastructure builders to explore how cross-border payment rails, programmable stablecoin credit, and real-world-asset (RWA) infrastructure can unlock the next decade of Africa's economic growth.

Panels and presentations include:

  • State of Africa's stablecoin ecosystem, with $205bn in onchain value moving through Sub-Saharan Africa between July 2024 and June 2025

  • Advancements in regulatory frameworks for blockchain in Africa driving institutional adoption and banking participation, with several countries advancing virtual asset service provider (VASP) policies

  • How stablecoins are solving structural gaps in cross-border payments, treasury, FX, and remittances

  • How programmable stablecoin credit capitalizes Africa's underserved cross-border trade and payment flows across emerging market corridors — with capital efficient credit infrastructure

  • How tokenization of real-world assets is democratizing international investment opportunities for African institutions, corporates, and consumers

  • The future of Africa's onchain financial stack and the intra-Africa trade and global investment opportunities it unlocks

A networking reception will follow.
