Ask me Something Real?
Has life been feeling a little weary? Its just been task after task, loads of responsibilities that make it feel like a whole big hamster wheel?
Maybe what we all need is a dedicated time and space for quiet introspection and unhurried conversations. With people who just get it.
That's what we're doing. And you're invited.
We’re hosting "Ask me something real?", a journaling picnic for people who want to think, yap, or do a bit of both 🌱
Bring your journal, your current thoughts, and come touch grass with us for the evening.
Come with your journal, your current thoughts, and whatever you like writing with. We’ll have prompts (of varying levels) around the picnic, a Quiet Patch for journaling, a Yap Patch for meaningful conversations, and a small Picnic Open Mic for anyone who feels like sharing.
You’ll meet others who are also marinating on ideas and have lots of opinions waiting to be heard. This is your time to journal, introspect, and if you’d like — speak up and have conversations around the theme of the day.
This time: [WHAT'S A TINY THING THAT MAKES YOUR LIFE WORTH LIVING?]
We'll have journal/conversation prompts of varying depth scattered around the picnic, and two patches to pick from depending on your mood:
🌱 The Quiet Patch
For when you mostly want to journal and be in your own little world. This will be your opportunity to reflect on the month and enter the new month with intention.
🧺 The Yap Patch
For when you’re happy to chat and meet someone new. Allow this to be your middle-pressure space to articulate your thoughts and exchange perspectives around your beliefs and passions.
Move between the two whenever you feel like it.
💬 Picnic Open Mic
We'll also have our little Picnic Open Mic, where we'll be asking people the question of the day. If you have an answer you feel like sharing, come have a chat with us. *Do note that this section will be filmed and featured on our social media pages. Our intention is to highlight diverse perspectives around the theme!
Bring:
Your journal, pens, pencils, stickers, craft bits, or whatever you like journaling with. Plus water, snacks if you’d like, and anything else that makes sitting on grass nicer.
No journal? That's okay. We'll have some paper and pens around too.
A little reminder
This isn't a workshop, networking event or a facilitated sharing circle.
You can write a lot, write absolutely nothing, talk to strangers, stay in your own corner, or do a bit of everything.
We're just here to picnic, journal and have some nice conversations 🌷
We're meeting in person!
🗓️ 27 Sep 2026 (Sunday), 5.30 - 7.30 PM
📍 Fort Canning Green
🎟️ A small fee of $8 is collected - prompts will be printed and small snacks provided!
Limited to 25 spots so we can keep the picnic cosy!
