Writing for Transparency and Trust
THIS IS A MEMBERS ONLY EVENT. Join the Project C Community to take part! If you're already a member, log in with the same email and grab a member ticket. Otherwise, just register and I'll switch your ticket.
One way to strengthen trust and build stronger connections with our readers is to rethink the way we write. By moving away from jargon and slippery phrases into honesty and humanity, we can share our expertise without alienating readers who’ve been conditioned to distrust us. This interactive workshop will give you actionable strategies and tools to use as you write – helping you to use more transparent, human language without sacrificing fairness.
Led by Project C member Andy Dehnart, president of the Television Critics Association and creator of the web’s longest-running entertainment blog, this skill-building workshop will examine models of great writing and share strategies for adapting and rethinking your writing. You’ll leave with concrete tools and techniques you can apply to your next story.
