Join us for breakfast and the launch of Making the shift to service, the Service Desk booklet we made with support from The Lenfest Institute for Journalism.

​The booklet is a five-week personal journey of reflection, and a framework for more service-oriented journalism: one page a day, five to ten minutes, on weekdays.

In the first week you look at the services around you, in the second at your own work, in the third at one person. In the fourth you try something small, and in the fifth you learn from it and decide what changes.

It is the method we have been using with newsrooms on four continents over the past year, cut into pages you can do at your desk. Everyone at breakfast gets to take first copies home.
