Death Is Life, Too
Shared Table Dinners—where we meet around food and questions. Everyone brings something to the potluck: a dish, a thought, a feeling, a view—and that’s already plenty.
On grief, mortality, and impermanence in everything
The only thing more certain than life is death—and yet we so rarely talk about it. Around this table, together with Katya Romanova, host of Berlin Bones, we’ll explore what it means to live with grief and mortality, and why facing impermanence might be the most life-giving act of all.
Falling close to Día de los Muertos, Halloween, and the darker season of the year, this gathering will also include a walk to a nearby cemetery. Because remembering death is another way of remembering how alive we are.
🍎 How It Works
We ask that you bring something small and easy to share to keep it simple, tasty, and low-waste. You could bring a spread, a salad, raw veggies for a platter, a leftover that’s still delicious, or something sweet 🍫. Homemade or store-bought, all welcome.
This is an alcohol-free, vegetarian dinner — we’ll have tea and water to share.
Come by yourself, with a friend, or someone you only recently met!
Pay What You Can 🌟
We want this dinner to be accessible, so we’ve set a sliding scale you can choose from:
7 € → keeps it affordable and covers basic costs (no profit)
10 € → helps us cover material costs and give a little back
15 € → supports the work of Monika and Katya as main facilitators, and sustains the space for future gatherings
Pay what feels right for you—and know that every contribution makes these Shared Tables possible for the community!
Thank you for supporting us, your hosts—C*SPACE, a purpose-driven creative hub housed in a former furniture factory in Weißensee, cultivating curiosity, community, and regenerative ideas through events, co-working, and cultural programs, and The Oneliness Project, led by Monika Jiang, a writer, facilitator, and community builder, explores the transformation from loneliness to connection, weaving our shared experience into a practice of oneliness.

Leave with a full belly, hopefully, a full heart, and maybe something new to sit with.
Can’t wait to see you!
