Getting Out of the Middle
A one-hour working session with triwoven
If you’re the one everyone comes to, at work and at home, this session is for you. The friend conflict, the permission slip, the decision the team can’t make without you. Somewhere along the way, being capable turned into being the person everything has to pass through. We want to spend an hour looking at that pattern together and seeing what it might look like to step out of it.
We’ll start with the different ways we tend to respond when someone brings us a problem, and get curious about which one each of us reaches for first. We’ll talk about what it costs to own things that don’t need owning, and about the triangle many of us get stuck in, where we rescue, then feel unseen, then turn on ourselves. And we’ll close by sketching out a recovery menu, because the person who never recovers tends to be the person everything is waiting on.
What we hope you leave with:
A clearer sense of where things bottleneck through you
A feel for when to coach and when to just answer
A way to notice when you’re rescuing, and an idea of how to exit
A few reset options, from ten minutes to a full afternoon, that you’d actually use
