BLOCK71 Dinner Club: Off the Record with Sean Lam
BLOCK71 Dinner Club is a series of small group dinners for NUS students under the Student Entrepreneurship Community (SEC) initiative. The series is designed for honest, off-the-record conversations with experienced founders, investors and those within the start-up ecosystem.
For this edition, we’re joined by Sean Lam, Founder of Ecoworks and Philip Yeo Initiative Fellow. Sean is on a mission to remove 10 million single-use plastic bottles from Singapore’s waste stream each year by nudging consumers toward refill solutions. Before Ecoworks, he co-founded Jewel Paymentech, now part of fintech unicorn Advance Group, and worked at Visa where he championed pivotal changes like two-factor authentication and EMV chip cards.
