Understanding Executive Function: A Parent Workshop with Birdhouse & AVA
Executive function has become a buzzword in parenting circles lately, but what does it actually mean? At its core, it's the set of mental skills that let us plan, focus, manage our time, and follow through. Kids are just beginning to build these skills, and often it's our own executive function, as parents, quietly doing the work for them.
Join Birdhouse and AVA for an interactive morning where we'll start by looking at ourselves and then dive into what it means for our kids. Where are we strong, where do we struggle, and what does that tell us about how we support our children? From there, we'll introduce AVA, a tool designed to support parents with managing admin overload and ultimately, enable greater executive function.
Expect coffee, bites, and good conversation with a community eager to talk about a topic that's top of mind right now.
A quick note: while we'd love to accommodate kids at this event, this workshop is designed specifically for adults. Stay tuned for a play day for the whole family in the fall!
