Starting a Life Sciences Company: Who to Trust and What to Get Right?
Running experiments is only part of starting a life sciences company. Founders also have to decide who joins as a co-founder, who gets equity, which offers of help to trust, and how to keep the company running.
Hear practical advice from a founder and an active life science investor, moderated by Jacqueline Furniss. The panel will cover:
What to settle before bringing in a co-founder or giving away equity, and how to set expectations from day one
How to tell useful fundraising help from overpromising, and what to ask before committing
The operational problems that can lead to delays and unexpected costs
Early decisions that can have costly consequences down the line
If you have a question, send it when you register, and the moderator will put it to the panel, depending on time.
Then meet new people in a facilitated small-group networking between investors and founders.
For
Scientists and first-time founders starting, or thinking about starting, a life sciences company, as well as angel investors and VCs.
