Roots & Routes: A Celebration of Wine & Local Food Culture
Join us for an evening of great conversation, exceptional wine, and excellent company.
Nairobi is one of Africa's most dynamic food cities, where Ethiopian, Somali, Indian, and West African cuisines share streets with nyama choma joints, coastal Swahili kitchens, and a new generation of chefs remixing it all. But the question isn't what Nairobi eats; it's whether the systems behind that food are strong enough to sustain it.
The evening is anchored around two interconnected experiences. We will begin with a wine tasting of a curated selection of world-class wines, guided by Sommelier Kevin Obulumire, who will share the stories behind the vines and help you discover new favorites.
Following this, we will host a panel conversation about culture, food, and what it really means to eat local, featuring Martha Haile (founder and CEO of Abze Africa), Dr. Patrick Maundu (ethnobotanist at the National Museums of Kenya), and Nicodemus Omundo (founder of the Food Innovation Studio and member of the Food Culture Alliance).
Roots & Routes celebrates African identity and food culture, intertwined with a deep, global appreciation for fine wine.
