Bangalore Local Hub | Tool Jam: Try it. Swap it. Think it Through
Think of a jam session, but with tools.
Every L&D practitioner has a tool they swear by. A template refined over the years, an app that quietly saves hours, a facilitation move that rescues a flat room. At Tool Jam, we bring them together: you try them, swap them, and think them through.
What do we mean by "tool"? Anything you use to do your work better, digital or analogue. Think: a Liberating Structure, a facilitation technique, a feedback template, a self-assessment, a framework, a game, a planning canvas, a refined AI prompt, an app, a checklist, even a sticky note. If it works for you, it counts.
But a tool on its own doesn't do much. The same template can transform one session and fall flat in another. What makes the difference is the thinking of the person using it: when to reach for it, when to leave it, and how to adapt it to the room in front of you.
Here's how the jam works:
Try it: Presenters host tool stations. You rotate through them and use the tools yourself, not just watch a demo.
Swap it: Add your own tool to the Tool Wall with a line on why it works for you, and trade notes with others.
Think it through: At each station, the presenter shares the thinking behind the tool: what mindset makes it work, and where it goes wrong.
You'll leave with a few new tools to try and a sharper sense of how to choose and use them well.
No polished presentation needed, and no "expert" status required.
How it works:
6 to 8 presenters host hands-on tool stations
Everyone rotates between stations in small groups and tries the tools
Everyone else adds a tool to the Tool Wall
We close with a room-wide conversation on what we're taking back to work
Open to: Anyone interested in learning & development and education.
Capacity / Price: Rs. 100 or Rs. 150 (for venue charges)
