Rethinking Enterprise AI: Where Compute Efficiency Meets Climate Strategy
The enterprise AI debate centers on new data centers and ever-larger models, while the efficiency of the software, models, and infrastructure already running the business receives far less attention. GitHub, Yale and LinkedIn will discuss findings from a newly released, first-of-its-kind survey of software developers' climate opinions — then turn to what happens when enterprises act on them. LinkedIn will share how visibility, incentives and engineering innovation made efficiency continuous rather than periodic — growing AI and products on existing infrastructure while avoiding new hardware, cost and emission. The panel will close on how IT and sustainability leaders can make compute efficiency a shared enterprise priority.
Speakers include:
Marina Psaros, founder, Psaros Solutions – Moderator
Paull Young, Head of Sustainability, GitHub
Marija Verner, Research Specialist, Yale Program on Climate Change Communication
Renu Yadav, Senior Program Manager, LinkedIn
