Planning Workshop: Energy Data Project

​We need your input so that we can design something that’s useful to you.

​Join us to workshop the data products and visualisations that will allow you to easily find and present evidence to plan your community wide shift to totally renewable and zero emissions. Please register even if you wish to simply stay informed about the project.

​The energy sector is swimming in data but we often can’t find what we need when policy debates emerge. We all have different capacity to find and analyse data because so many of us are time poor. The project aims to start solving these challenges with easy to access datasets and visualisations that do the analysis and present the results for you.

​This workshop is one of four you can join.

​Our theme is Planning - Totally renewable, zero emissions communities and electricity networks to be held on Thurs 17 Sep 3-4:30pm. The other three are:

• ​Fairness - Equity and low income energy users (Thurs 10 Sep 1-2:30pm)

• ​Access - Housing and investment challenges for renters, strata & apartments (Wed 16 Sep 3-4:30pm)

• ​Transition - Pathways to electrification and renewable homes (Tues 15 Sep 3-4:30pm)

​Come to any one of these events to help us identify your most immediate needs and longer term uses of energy data.

​Who should join the Planning Workshop?

​The focus of this workshop will be community-wide energy planning. Are you in local government, community energy, regional development or electricity network planning?

​We will be asking what data we need to reach our energy targets. What do we need to know to plan local investments? What helps us track progress? What data will help us argue for our local needs to be recognised by the wider electricity system?
