​At ICFP 2025, we’re not hosting another panel. We’re brewing something different. “Stories That Wake You Up” is a creative, talk-show-style side event where storytelling, culture, and science meet over coffee.

​Imagine walking into a room that feels more like a studio than a conference. There’s music in the air. The smell of coffee. Laughter. A familiar face from C’est la Vie! appears on screen. A beat from Hello Cypher drops. Then silence, and a question that makes you think differently about what communication can do.

​For over two decades, RAES has been building a new language of change, one that connects art and evidence, emotion and impact.
Through series like C’est la Vie!, programs like Pamoja, and creative campaigns like Hello Cypher, we’ve seen how a story, when told with authenticity and rooted in cultural truth, can shift norms, open conversations, and change lives.

​This event is our morning coffee with the ICFP community, a space to reflect, laugh, and awaken new ideas together.
We’ll share scenes, sounds, and stories that show how communication can be more than a tool. It can be an intervention, a bridge between policy and people, between data and empathy.

​No PowerPoints. No formality. Just coffee, connection, and conversation.
