Investor-to-Investor Breakfast: Angel Investing Conversations

What are experienced angel investors seeing in the market and where might the next generation of standout companies emerge?

Join Pinnacle Ventures for a relaxed, curated breakfast bringing together investors to share experiences, exchange ideas and explore the changing landscape of early-stage investing.

From the sectors and technologies attracting attention to the realities of backing founders, assessing risk and supporting companies beyond capital, this will be a candid, peer-led conversation about what investors are learning and where they see opportunity.

We will explore the innovation ecosystems emerging across the UK, including London, Cambridge, Oxford, Edinburgh and across the UK; discuss what is shaping investment decisions from pre-seed to Series A; and consider how investors can learn from both successes and setbacks.

The breakfast will also be an opportunity to help shape the Pinnacle Ventures investor network, connecting investors with relevant EIS/SEIS opportunities, founders and fellow investors, with a focus on building trusted relationships and making the right introductions.

This is not a formal pitch event. It is an opportunity to have thoughtful conversations with fellow investors, share perspectives and help shape a community around early-stage investment.

What we hope to discuss

  • The angel investing journey: motivations, memorable investments, highs, lows and lessons learned.

  • Where innovation is emerging: sectors, technologies and UK ecosystems investors find compelling.

  • The current deal landscape: investment trends, valuations, portfolio performance and the challenges companies face as they grow.

  • What makes a company investable: founders, traction, market opportunity, risk and the evidence investors need.

  • Beyond capital: how angels support founders through advice, introductions, expertise and follow-on fundraising.

  • The future of investor collaboration: what a valuable, trusted investor network should offer.

Who should attend?
