(September) Expert Session: How marketing teams and agencies can work better together
You learned positioning from a book or a class or someone good.
Where did you learn how to work with an agency? Or a client?
Nobody teaches that part. You inherit a relationship someone else set up and figure it out as you go (and then assume that's how it's done).
So we're putting a real one on the table.
Adam Hatlak is VP Marketing Analytics and Strategy at Fox Communities. Molly Frederick is the Blue Door consultant on his account. Blue Door has worked with Fox for [X] years. Adam's had the job for two.
They'll talk through it honestly. What he walked into. What nobody told him. What she had to unlearn when the person across the table changed. What's still not solved.
Then we split the room—client side, agency side—and everyone writes down what they wish the other side would say out loud. Anonymous. I read them. Adam and Molly answer live.
One thing: I work with Adam, and Fox is a Blue Door client. I'll say so out loud and then get out of the way.
Chatham House Rule. No pitches, no vendor names from the floor.
Bring the relationship you've been meaning to fix.
The Midwest Marketing Meetup is for curious marketers in the Green Bay and Fox Cities who care about the craft and want to make progress in their careers.
It’s a space for honest, non-performative conversation about the challenges you’re actually facing, with peers who get it and aren’t trying to sell you anything.
You’ll leave with clearer thinking, practical next steps, and relationships that help you make progress.
