Building Trust & Communicating in Startups
Building Trust & Communicating in Startups
As a first operator, your impact starts with people.
Working closely with founders and teams — often without a clear playbook or formal authority — a huge part of your ability to make things happen comes down to building strong relationships, creating trust, and knowing how to communicate with the people around you.
We’re bringing together two different perspectives on what that actually takes.
Noa Matz — Founder, Matz Startup Psychology | Strategic Advisor to Founders & VCs
Noa works closely with founders on the psychological dynamics behind building and leading a startup. She’ll focus on how founders’ needs and behaviors evolve — and how to build the trust and relationship needed to work effectively alongside them.
Galit Ben Tovel — Organizational Consultant & Leadership Expert
Galit works with leaders and managers on the human dynamics that shape how people communicate and work together. She’ll focus on how different communication styles affect relationships — and how to communicate in a way that builds trust.
Each will start with a short session from her own perspective, followed by an open panel bringing the two worlds together.
We’ll talk about:
• How founders’ needs and behaviors change — and what that means for the way you work with them
• How to understand different personalities and communicate in a way that builds trust
• How to build strong relationships with founders and become a true partner
• How to navigate difficult conversations and create influence, even without formal authority
