Private Bookbinding Workshop
Private bookbinding workshops with Amanara
Bring a few friends, your book club, your team, or just yourself and a few people you like, and spend a few hours making something with your hands. I'll come to you, or we can find a space that works for the group.
You choose the binding:
- Hardcover notebook: a classic journal with a hard cover
- Coptic stitch: lies completely flat, with an exposed spine
- Pamphlet stitch: butterfly or chain stitch, simple and great for a first project
- Accordion book: a folded book with no sewing
- Japanese stab binding: decorative stitching along the spine
- Long stitch: sewn directly through the cover
- Secret Belgian binding: hidden stitching, sturdy softcover
- Softcover notebook: flexible cover, quick to make
- Softcover leather: leather cover, any of the above can be made this way
Not sure which one fits? Tell me about your group's experience and how much time you have, and we'll pick together.
Workshops start at $140 per person, with all materials and travel included. If you'd like to work with leather, it's an extra $15 per person. Half day and full day sessions are both possible, and for longer ones we can combine different covers or bindings.
