About Event

Join leading founders, researchers, and investors shaping the future of AI, hardware, and robotics. From breakthrough chip design to cutting-edge robotics research, this event spotlights Canada’s deep-tech edge through panels, fireside chats, and networking. Your chance to meet the minds building tomorrow’s technology flagships.

🦾 We’ll kick things off with Eric Dahan (NVIDIA Canada), then jump straight into Deep Tech, Deeper Impact, where Brad Moon (Astrus), Craig Buntin (Rise Robotics), and Colin Gallacher (Haply Robotics), and David Charbonneau (Boreal Ventures), dive into the semiconductor revolution and the breakthroughs driving the next wave of deep tech.

🤝 Then, we shift gears with Financing the Future of Manufacturing, featuring Frédéric Bastien (Amiral Ventures & Mnubo), Rami Alhamad (Alma, Push), Étienne Lacroix (Vention), and Charles Lespérance (Celesta Capital) as they tackle scaling challenges, funding strategies, and the race to build compelling hardware tech product experiences as well as sovereign, world-class manufacturing ecosystems.

🔥 Before lunch, don’t miss our Fireside Chat: The Future of Hardware & Robotics with powerhouse Aidan Madigan-Curtis, Partner at Eclipse Capital, one of the most prominent and largest hardware funds in Silicon Valley. Aidan, who was raised in Montreal, helped launch the first Apple Watch and iPhone 6s, will join Helge Seetzen (TandemLaunch) for an inside look at the frontier of AI, manufacturing, and industrial innovation.

🤖 We’ll wrap up the day with Mila core members in our afternoon session, The Next Frontier in Robotics, featuring Glen Berseth and Liam Paull. Glen will explore how his research translates into real-world robotic applications, while Liam will share a forward-looking vision of autonomy and navigation shaping the next era of intelligent machines.

✨ The final talk is by Gregory Dudek, Mila professor, CTO of Independent Robotics and former VP of Research & Lab Head at the Montreal Samsung AI Center, will deliver the presentation From Robotics Science to Startup: The Journey of a Venture Scientist, sharing how, as a researcher he built a leading and fast growing robotics startup.
