

Listening Room: Resitance Through Music — A History Of Protest Music And Its Future by Tim Fetcher
This edition of Listening Room is presented by Tim Fetcher.
Dissect what it means to be part of the resistance through music. This session is will flow across genres, examining different causes that used music to send a message to the people — whether overtly or subversively; with commentary from the host on the different methodologies employed across time.
You, the audience, are invited to join in with your thoughts and ideas and be part of conversation as we explore the history of protest music and its future.
The space will be open 3pm onwards with non-alcoholic cocktails and tea for sale. Listening room starts at 8pm, with pre-show music selections starting 7.15pm. Please respect your fellow listeners by keeping noise to a minimum once show has started.
About Tim Fetcher
Tim Fetcher is a music supervisor who’s worked on a wide range of projects, from small independent productions, to commercial film and TV shows. Notable projects include The Summer I Turned Pretty, Outerbanks, and Griselda. He most recently worked with the marketing team at Apple, making music selections for their hardware advertising campaigns. When he’s not working he enjoys collecting vinyl, djing, and skiing.
