Seminar with Matthew Levering

​Join us for a seminar, tailored for the faculty, with Matthew Levering, a theology professor at the University of St. Mary of the Lake, author/co-author of over 35 books, and editor/co-editor of over 20 collaborative volumes, including several Oxford Handbooks.

​Dr. Levering plays a central role in the world of theological publication, serving as a co-editor of three prestigious academic journals (Nova et Vetera, the International Journal of Systematic Theology, and The New Ressourcement), as well as a series editor for notable publishing houses, including the Catholic University of America Press and Emmaus Academic.

​Beyond publications, he has spearheaded projects and initiatives that aim to foster fellowship among theologians. In 2023, when he was only 52 years old, he was honored for his magnanimity in building “networks of theological friendship” with the collaborative volume Engaging Catholic Doctrine: Essays in Honor of Matthew Levering. His most recent initiative in this vein is the constitution of the International Working Group “Vatican II: Renewal within Tradition Today,” which unites theologians from six continents.
