Turn the idea sitting in your notes app into something real, in a single afternoon. On July 4th we're taking over the ALX Maadi Hub for a high-energy hackathon where you go from blank page to working product with Manus AI as your co-founder. Open theme, any startup idea — and we're especially hyped for products built for the Egyptian and MENA market.
TEAMS GET PRIORITY
We review and accept on a rolling basis, and team applications get priority. Apply as a team of 2-3 to boost your chances of getting in. Solo builders are welcome too — you'll be reviewed after teams and matched into a team on the day.
WHAT YOU'LL WALK OUT WITH
Not a slide deck. Not a roadmap. By 7:01 PM you'll be able to say: "We built a real product, for a real user, that you can use right now." That's the whole game.
THE ONE RULE THAT MATTERS
Every project targets a specific, real user — not "people who want productivity." Who are they, where do they live, and what do they do instead today? Your demo opens by introducing that person, then shows the product working live. A live demo on screen is required (a public URL or Manus Share link is ideal). No slide-only pitches.
HOW THE DAY RUNS
1:00 — Doors, check-in, grab a name tag (we'll help solo builders find teammates)
1:15 — Welcome, Manus demo, rules walkthrough
1:35 — Form teams, lock your one-line idea
2:00 — Build begins. Mentors roaming all afternoon.
4:00 — Mid-point check-in
5:30 — Final push, start prepping your demo
6:00 — Live demos (90 seconds each, real users only)
6:55 — Prizes, photos, celebration
