Overview

We are pleased to invite you to attend a high-level roundtable discussion taking place on Thursday 25 June (09:00–10:30) at County Hall, as part of the European Clean Tech Day at London Climate Action Week 2026, organised by Sustainable Ventures in partnership with the European Commission.

Building on the momentum created by the participation of Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera and Commissioner Dan Jørgensen at London Climate Action Week, this roundtable forms the European Commission's principal own-hosted event of the week, bringing together leading voices from policy, business, finance and innovation to discuss Europe's clean-tech future.

The event will take place against the background of a selection of European clean-tech start-ups exhibiting at County Hall throughout the day, creating opportunities for networking and engagement with innovators at the forefront of the transition.

Europe's Competitive Edge: Clean Tech in a Connected World
How can Europe and its partners harness clean technology to drive competitiveness, industrial strength, and sustainable growth?

The session will be conducted in an interactive roundtable format, bringing together senior policymakers, investors, corporate leaders, founders and innovation ecosystem stakeholders for a discussion before an audience of climate, innovation and business leaders attending the European Clean Tech Day programme.

While focused on Europe's competitiveness and innovation ecosystem, the conversation will also look beyond the EU's borders, exploring opportunities for collaboration with key partners, including the evolving EU–UK opportunities on clean growth and innovation.

The discussion will feature Jan Dusík, Deputy Director-General for Climate Action at the European Commission, alongside other senior EU representatives and leading voices from industry, finance and the innovation ecosystem.
